Update 10.05.20

In this evening's announcement the Prime Minister suggested that schools may be in a position to re-open from the 1st June. Mr Johnson proposed a phased return starting with Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children.

We will await further detailed guidance from the DfE, Local Authority and Unions as we begin to respond to this announcement and plan for reopening. We will also be considering how we can continue to provide childcare for vulnerable children and children of key workers.

There is a significant amount to consider. These are unprecedented times and we continue to ask for your patience and support. Families will be kept informed via emails and updates on the website.

The whole world is talking about the corona virus. Schools have closed, and children are asking a lot of questions. This short film uses PLAYMOBIL to help explain in a way that children can understand what is happening right now, what we can all do to ease the situation, and why it so important to avoid contact with other children and adults .

Update 01.04.20

The message from the Government remains the same:

If you are able to keep your child at home, you should.

This emergency provision is only for vulnerable children including those with SEND and social worker involvement. It is also for families with critical workers whose work is essential to the COVID 19 response.

The provision will be open Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. Children are required to bring a packed lunch and own snacks for the day.

If you feel you qualify and you require an emergency childcare place, please contact school via email: admin@stubbings.calderdale.sch.uk

The provision will be open during the Easter holidays.
